Shamrock Hills Park is a relatively new park for Crystal Lake. It’s just down Walkup Road from Veterans Acres on the way to Prairie Ridge High School.

I like it as it has a couple of ponds that are great backdrops. There’s a lot of neat trees and then there is some architecture with some cool stairs, including some rocky steps. You’ll usually find some flowers there and pine trees. There is also a red barn in the property next door that I sometimes use as a backdrop if the lighting is right.

We always meet there in the small parking lot. The address is 6204 Hillside Rd, Crystal Lake IL.
