Locations: Brunner Farm, Dundee
Brunner Farms is located of a stretch of Illinois route 31 between Algonquin and Dundee. It’s somehow been kept from turning into a mini-mall or subdivision. And its really the hidden gem of the Fox Valley. Brunner has trees, flowers, shrubs. There are open fields. There are gravel paths. We love their red barn, but it you can go there and skip the barn and still love this location. No two Brunner sessions are ever the same.
They also have these rustic bridges just sitting in a field. I’m pretty sure they put them there for me to use for photo shoots.
Just a couple miles down Route 31 just as you enter Algonquin is Buffalo Park, with Fox River running next to it. I sometimes get some shots at Brunner Farm, and then head over to Buffalo Park for some river shots during a 2-hour portrait session.
