Becca's Color Powder Photo Session

Becca is an amazing dancer with the Engage Dance Academy in Crystal Lake. My kids actually took classes from Becca’s mom at Engage many years ago, so it’s been fun watching Becca grow up all these years!

Becca first did a rain session with us, and then came back for our color powder session.

Originally, they were just going to do a 5-JPG package with a rain session, but then decided to do a 5-JPG package with color powder, and then added on a sixth shot.

Especially for color powder, I like to do a head shot when they’re done and covered in powder. It’s such a fun, cool shot! I also do more than the five poses so my parents and dancers can pick out the five they absolutely love the most, and many of them then add on another picture. Or two. Or three.

Dancers should come with their own ideas on poses, and Becca had plenty of them, especially with her mom Kym guiding her. Naturally, I’m pretty involved in the posing as well, and together we came up with this really cool, eclectic series of images.
