Color Powder Photo Shoot: Next Session is Jan. 31-Feb. 10, 2025
“That was the best time I’ve ever had!”
I can’t tell you how many times parents have told me that their child told them that once they got in the car after a rain or color powder session. Not a couple of times, not five or six, but dozens of times.
Color powder sessions are one of the newest and more innovative sessions offered in the world of dance photography. The colors are bold and pop against the black backdrops of our studio. I have variety of different colors, and photograph the dancers in poses or action shots against a black background. The beauty of these shots is that every shot is unique as you can’t really predict what will happen with the powder.
While these sessions are especially popular with dancers, it works really well with musicians, cheerleaders, gymnasts, and athletes of all types. I’ve even had some family sessions done with the powder.
Our next color powder sessions are January 31-February 10, 2025. When you register with the link below, you can actually schedule your session at the same time. Our next rain sessions will be January 17-27, 2025.
We offer these sessions twice a year: Jan/Feb, and July/August. We offer packages of either 2 JPGs ($195) in 15-minute sessions or 5 JPGs ($295) in 30 minute sessions, and we take a few additional photos so you can pick from the best or add on some JPGs for $60 for social media JPGs (printable to 5x7 inches) or $90 for full resolution JPGs. So there is a $170 savings for getting the 5-JPG package.
GROUPS: We also offer group discounts for 4-9 dancers, so it is $175 for 2 JPGs, and $275 for 5 JPGs, and a free group JPG. All group members must be there at the same time to take advantage of the group discount. We will also provide a free group JPG. Each person must also register with the link below. The group leader should contact us to schedule their session. We will need to know how many will be participating.
There is a team discount for 10 or more, which is $145 for 2 JPGs. With team sessions, individuals are limited to the 2-JPG package, but they can get 3-4 poses, time permitting, allowing for add-on JPGs once you see the gallery. We do a full team shot and a free JPG if everyone can be there at the same time. Contact us to schedule your team, and we’ll provide a link for each person to register.
We will also be offering Rain Sessions on January 17-27, 2025.
This is for dancers, cheerleaders, gymnasts, and athletes of all sports, musicians, or anyone who’d like to get a unique portrait.
For color powder sessions, we recommend wearing a black or dark outfits, but you can really bring anything you’d like. You will want to bring a change of clothes for when you’re done.
