Location: Downtown Algonquin

The Downtown Algonquin location has rustic buildings, old brick buildings, ivy walls, a small stream running through it, and patches of urban decay. It’s also interesting to me because there are places with bold colors, a strong red in direct sunlight where I pose my seniors on a second story stairway landing. Another wall with a different type of red. And a fabulous light grayish-blue building front and windows.

I usually combine this location with a second location, either Buffalo Park or you can walk over to Cornish Park, which I think of as the Clock Tower Park. Both of these locations are on the Fox River, so you’ll get some great nature shots to go with the building shots in downtown Algonquin.
