South Elgin Varsity Dance Studio Photo Session

It was so much fun to have the 2021-22 South Elgin Varsity team back in the Ron McKinney Photography studio in November. We had also done a shoot in the studio with the 2021 team in the studio.

We took our time and got some really cool edgy lighting on a lot of these shots. It’s so much fun to do these shoots as it’s like a team-bonding event as the dancers cheer for each other and get to see the images immediately as they are shot, as I shoot tethered to a 55-inch screen.

We have a 32-foot wide white backdrop with white marley flooring at my studio for these shoots. I can photographer teams of more than 100 dancers on our floor. We also have a black background and black marley, a reclaimed wood backdrop, a gray wall, and an urban corner.
