Combined Senior Portrait and Dance Photo Session in Lake Forest

This was one of my favorite senior portrait sessions as it combined two of my favorite types of shoots, senior portraits and dance.

At the time, Alexia Boyd was studying dance at Ballet Chicago and then lived in Lake Forest. So we did the shoot in Lake Forest with part of the shoot on a beach on Lake Michigan. We did several outfit changes for her senior portraits, got some shots with her brother, and then focused on dance in the latter part of the portrait session.

I like to think of my senior portrait sessions as featured any activities the senior is involved in, whether it’s dance or sports or music or whatever it might be. So I really enjoy getting the opportunity to do shoots like this.
